E is for Eagle

E is for Eagle

He circles the sky

Riding the up-draughts

He narrows his eye

Then it's swoop-swoop

Talons scoop-scoop

As he snatches his prey

Which he carries away

To eat in his eyrie

(Which brightens his day)

Fun Facts about [Animal]

Eagles are powerful birds of prey with excellent eyesight. An eagle can spot potential prey from a remarkable distance, using its sharp vision to search the ground while soaring high above it.

Eagles are built for efficient flight, with broad wings and strong muscles that allow them to soar for long periods. They can use rising columns of warm air called thermals to gain height without constantly flapping their wings, helping them conserve energy while searching for food.

There are many different species of eagle found across the world, living in habitats ranging from mountains and forests to open grasslands and coastal areas. Eagles build some of the largest nests of any bird, with certain species returning to the same nest and adding new material to it year after year.
