C is for Crocodile
He's artful and sly
He lies in the shallows
‘Till a victim comes by
Then it's snap snap
And crunch crunch
And shake shake
And rip rip
And chomp chomp
And swallow swallow
And burp burp
Languid licking lips
Twinkle in his eye.
And did the victim die?
Yes - of course!
What a dreadful fate:
Straight to Heaven's Gate!

Fun Facts about the Crocodile
Crocodiles are large reptiles that live in tropical regions of Africa, Asia, the Americas and Australia. They are excellent swimmers, using their powerful tails to move quickly through water.
Crocodiles have incredibly strong jaws lined with sharp teeth. They can replace their teeth throughout their lives, meaning a lost or damaged tooth can eventually be replaced by a new one.
Crocodiles are cold-blooded animals, so they rely on their surroundings to help regulate their body temperature. They often bask in the sunshine to warm themselves up before returning to the water.
