B is for Bull
B is for bull
with a ring in his nose
He paws at the ground
wherever he goes
with a stamp stamp
and a bellow bellow
he's a frightening fellow.
But what is the bull trying to say?
Why his haughty display?
Its not as though British folk
view bulls like in Spain
Where bull fighting for fun
causes bulls lots of pain.
We don't goad and prod them
to get them confused
Or wave red capes at them
until they're bemused
Before stabing a sword
in the place where they ought'a.
Plunging deep ‘twixt the shoulders
to slash the aorta.
While the crowd crows and cries
each time a bull dies.
But because of the ring
a bull has in his nose
He has a reminder
of the Bull Ring's cruel shows.
Perhaps every time
a bull stamps his feet
He is dimly aware
of his future as meat.
